Writers with Opinions.
Sometimes, it's refreshing to read something that has a distinct, stark opinion. I don't always like to meet opinionated people face to face, conversations can become heated and sometimes lack in civility (and i'm included in that too). And the delivery, I think, matters the most.
But i do love to read someone who can successfully sell me their opinion.
Even if I still don't agree with them, it's enjoyable to hear well-educated, highly-intelligent, against-the-grain voices. We don't have enough of them (in my opinion).
Thursday night, one such writer came to school, and a few fellow students and I got to sit down with him and talk. I was very impressed with his demeanor, geniality, and confidence.
I think I might have to read his books now.
