portrait of the american weatherman

groundhog day.
yep, that's today.
supposedly we are going to get an early spring, but 86% of the time they predict six more weeks of winter, and 39% of the time they're right.

i know that it's terrible to always be harping on the weather man, but
is it just our country that seems to have such a hard time predicting the weather?
and is that why the symbol of our spring predictions is a groundhog?
just wondering.
And I'm kind of wishing that I lived in Pennsylvania
so I could participate in some Fersommling.
I would surely give a speech on why are these little things called groundhogs?
how demeaning!
they dont even look like hogs!
except since I don't speak German, I would probably be penalized.
oh well.

did you know that a groundhog is also known as a woodchuck?
and now you can't stop that tongue twister from going on repeat in your head,
can you?
just a little celebration gift from me to you.
you're welcome:)
