i'm not entirely sure how the day before Ash Wednesday became take off your shirt day,
or how the start of lent became fat tuesday...it's mind-boggling (and ridiculous).
but i do love beignets (aka powdered sugar donuts)
seriously. these are donuts i can eat.
Did you get these in Atlanta? Isaac and I used to go to Huey's in Buckhead but they shut down, and I haven't been able to find any good ones since. Love beignets! The first time I ever had them was in Austin. So yummy!
ReplyDeletei know! Well, actually...i never had a beignet in austin... i got it at Whole Foods, but i think today was the last day:( you would think if you can get them in austin you could get them here somewhere though!
