oh my gosh i forgot to post this!

i can't believe i missed a day! :(
well, at least on the bright side i did have things
to celebrate yesterday, i just somehow thought i had
already posted it!
here's a few things i was celebrating yesterday:
a new book - the help.

i'm not thrilled about it (reading it for class)
but you know, it's always good to have something
to read. and honestly, i'll take this over what i
read over the weekend (push by sapphire).
so dreadfully sad...

also? we signed our lease to begin in october!
can't wait!

  2. I also enjoyed the book a lot (read it for book club, so we had a great discussion about it too). Going to the see the movie tomorrow night with my mom and aunt, though I'm sure it won't be nearly as good as the book was:(

  3. I loved the book so hopefully you enjoy it as well. :) The movie was alright but as with all movies, they had to leave out a lot of good stuff.

  4. ...also read this with my book club...loved it...I can't believe I haven't made it to the theatre yet...I hope the screen adaptation isn't a disappointment (as they often are)...I have pictures of each character in my head, so it will be interesting to compare the actual cast to the one in my imagination...as far as the story goes, I'm grateful that much has changed, but, sadly, some things still haven't and perhaps never will - owing to the darker/weaker aspects of human nature

  5. thanks for your comments guys! I have to admit that i am too easily influenced by the literary snobbishness from the academic world i live in right now, and i was not prepared to enjoy this book. but i found myself very pleasantly surprised. true, it's not exactly literary. but it was well written and very interesting - total entertainment! i haven't seen the movie yet either since we ended cutting it out of our class syllabus (after i'd read it of course!), and i don't really like going to the theater, but i'm sure i'll see it once it's on netflix! :)
