yes, i know, i'm the worst blogger in the history of blogs. i've missed, what, 5 weeks of weekly wilder photos? well, at least you all now know that most of that is because i've been hosting a fetus in my womb for the past 16 weeks, and my fetuses, as it turns out, are very demanding little house guests. i mean i love my fetus, but my blogging drive (and cooking drive, and uh, being awake drive) pretty much dwindled to nil during the first trimester. i don't know how other pregnant mamas do it. maybe they don't have morning sickness/extreme fatigue?? that's what i'm telling myself anyways. especially because right now i feel at least a whole month more pregnant than i am.
right, so, but i'm back! at least for this one day, because i spent a nice little afternoon taking photos of wilder in his kiddie pool and had to post one. and also, because i had a coke this afternoon. and because i made dinner. so i'm kind of on a roll. don't expect it to last. i'd like to believe i have photos of all the weeks i missed and i fully intend to publish them...one day...after i have another coke probably.
behold, wilder! a whole month older than when you last saw him! even though for the last couple of months i've felt like being a mama, and especially a pregnant mama, is one of the hardest things ever (not really, but also, yes, really), the truth is, there is nothing better than this 15-month-old. i still find myself asking loverboy at least a few times a day, "isn't he the sweetest baby you've ever seen?". and i still find a quiet afternoon spent splashing in a kiddie pool while papa builds things in the yard and does other papa things, to be one of the best ways to spend an afternoon.
