when the weather outside is frightful...(or even when it's not)

feeling sickish and staying home 

almost all day is really not as bad when there is

hot chocolate, gingerbread cookies 

and a handsome man in the kitchen.

i think i definitely need cookie cutters though, 

as these gingerbread men are slightly frightening.

i am really, really craving some baking time. 

i haven't even had homemade pumpkin pie

yet this fall! what? i know! 

but i'm planning on trying this recipe later 

next week for a birthday treat. 

hopefully i'll have even more time for sugary 

experiments when my break begins in a week.
