the end of my birthday month and

what i want to be in this 29th year. 

well, for starters, i'd like to drink more coffee. 

just kidding. 

okay, i'd like to just do more of what i'm doing now—

celebrating the seasons, learning to love, discovering

this southern city i live in, enjoying my Lord Jesus, 

writing and reading, cooking and cleaning

(got a little carried away with the rhyming),

you get the picture—oh and taking more pictures!

here's to 11 more months of it!

new kids on the block

we found a new place to live! 

hoping everything works out for us to move by

september (but might be october).
i can't wait to be out of this small apartment,
into a bigger (and nicer) space.

maybe we can even bring out our table and have guests

over!

brain freeze

Popsicle walk.

the nicest thing about where we live now is that

we can walk to the grocery store and coffee shop.

i won't comment on how often that happens,

it's just the fact that we can. 

well, i had a popsicle craving tonight, so

jazz and i took a little evening stroll. 

i love living this close to a store.

when we were first married (and very poor), 

we used to walk to the gas station down the street

for some ice cream treats. 

this is the life:

we may have gotten two boxes of popsicles. 

for variety, you know?
